Travelling around Melbourne by train for the tourist is quick, efficient, cost effective and easy way to experience all the sites and attractions. Services across metropolitan Melbourne beginning at around 5am (7am Sunday) until around midnight, and on Friday and Saturday nights they run to after midnight. Use the city loop to get around the CBD, or the metropolitan network to experience more of Melbourne.






Flinders street station is the central station for the metropolitan train network. It is also considered to be a central meeting place for Melburnians, you will hear them say "I'll meet you under the clocks".
